Create rhythm grooves, choose patterns of rhythms and instruments to create a sound story or chant, set up a groove, select instruments and ensembles groupings, listen to music and guess the ensemble.

Learn about ensembles: terminology and how many in each. Cross over to math, too.  Both are more fun with manipulatives.

Perform rhythm patterns with body percussion and up the challenge with different groups playing only certain rhythms.
